In order to deliver a walkable whole campus with internet connectivity every step of the way, the next few years will be spent updating, building, completing the network.

Project Phases

Planning - big planning, project officially starts within the next two weeks

Procurement - currently receiving hardware for the Crystal Bridges refresh

Fiber - a separate project that runs in parallel, however required for anticipated growth, change, innovation. Single-mode fiber is being run between each network closet at Crystal Bridges. This empowers easier pivots and connectivity.

Verizon - in order to eliminate a legacy issue with cell phone reception, we are working with Verizon to acquire a new Distributed Antenna System (DAS) that not only strengthens the Verizon signal, but also strengthens ALL cell carriers for optimum guest experience.

Firewalls - installation of new firewalls

What are we preparing for? What's the rush? High density, high bandwidth use cases. Antiques Roadshow is coming in addition to endless awesome gallery events. We are hoping to keep disruption to an absolute minimum - this drives our deep planning and approximate timeline.

We hope to have CB Galleries, Lobby, Eleven, Great Hall network completed by end June '24.
